A study of agricultural waste potential to support the expansion of cattle and buffalo populations in Aceh Barat District

Abstract A constant supply of feed is critical for the sustainability cattle and buffalo ranching. Therefore, this study aims to collect data on availability made from agricultural waste aid in expansion populations West Aceh District. It was conducted September October 2021 at Barat The secondary were collected through website Central Bureau Statistics Indonesia Aceh. Furthermore, potential District, cattle, population 2011 collection buffalos, beef, dairy (PSPK). Also, 2016 (BPS). then analyzed descriptively. results showed that District provides only digested dry weight (BKC) meet 74.27% livestock population’s total BKC requirements. Additionally, Woyla Sub-districts needs waste, with 135.12% 266.42%, respectively, based populations. Conclusively, growth will result a decrease waste’s carrying capacity as animal feed.
